Your Mark on Me
Some experiences leave traces that don’t fade easily. This piece came from realizing how deeply people can shape us — sometimes through love, sometimes through pain.
Even the way it was created holds that idea — each gesture leaving a visible imprint, one layer affecting another. The process mirrored what happens between people: how closeness, even when it fades, still leaves something behind.
While painting, I felt both anger and release — anger for having let something shape me so deeply, and release for finally letting it move through me. It was a way of turning what once felt heavy into something that could breathe again.
