Unfolding Gently
This painting marks the beginning of the series — and a quiet turning point in my journey. Inspired by a spontaneous trip to Tenerife, it carries the feeling of transformation that doesn’t come through struggle, but through softness, lightness, and play.
It was created after a long pause — a time of healing and rebuilding after life had turned upside down. For months, I had been protecting that tender calm, staying within a shell I built to feel safe. But over time, I realized that comfort can quietly turn into isolation, and that stepping out doesn’t have to be forceful — it can be gentle.
The shell became a metaphor for that realization. Inside, it’s smooth, safe, and comforting — much like the little world I built for myself after the storm had passed. This work holds the energy of re-emerging, reconnecting, and letting life unfold naturally again.
